Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn is promoting the largest tax hike in Nevadas’ history. In 1998, prior to Guinns’ election to Governor, the State of Nevada enjoyed a budget surplus. After only 4 years under Guinns’ management, this surplus melted in to a deficit. Now “Taxing Kenny” wants you to pay for his mismanagement.

As this site is developed, we will expose Kenny Guinns’ public record. This begins with his tenure as Superintendent of the Clark County School district, through his being CEO of Southwest Gas, and President of UNLV, to Governor. Kenny Guinn has been consistent in spending other peoples money, going over budget, and mismanaging everything he has had under his control.

Please voice your opinion by joining the Recall Guinn Focus Group. We welcome both sides of the issue, all opinions are welcome.

reviewjournal.com -- News: Guinn says revenue shortfall possible in '05

You can't say I didn't warn you. Guinn now says the 1 billion dollar tax increase is not enough. If only Guinn would take a class in economy 101. When you raise taxes and use a chart on current growth for your projections, you are using faulty numbers. Growth and taxes goes hand in hand. Raising taxes slows growth, lowering taxes increases growth. Business is not going to move to this State when there are more tax friendly states out there.

If we can reach the people we can recall the Governor. Even the people who support the Governor and the taxes see that the people are on our side.

So Governor Guinn thinks the people of Nevada were happy with the tax increase. His popularity is sinking, If we reach everyone who wants to sign the petition we WIN!

Recall organizers say effort is floundering

Recall organizers say effort is floundering: "Anjeanette Damon"

The following article has misquoted me. I have sent the following e-mail to correct the error.

Anjeanette,
You have made the following inaccurate quote:
Tony Dane, chairman of the group seeking the recall, said he has been trying, unsuccessfully, to plan a rally in Reno for the past three weeks. Most of the group’s efforts so far have been in Las Vegas, he said.
I never said we have been unsuccessful in gathering signatures in Reno. Thousands of signatures have been collected from that area. What I have said is that I’m having trouble scheduling a rally in Reno, because of my personal schedule in getting the time to go to Reno.

I am requesting that you please print a retraction, because the statement printed has no basis on anything that I have said.

Thank you

Tony Dane

The recall effort is picking up a lot of steam. People are starting to see that the Government does not want to follow laws that we as a people must follow. Government is not our keeper by we are theirs. This is something that is being forgotten..

While I was on an outdoor broadcast of KXNT Radio show with Alan Stock and Heidi Harris, the local dirctor of the ACLU drove by. He stated the ACLU takes no position on the recall, however Gary Peck told me that if we have any problems gaining access to state property he would be happy to jump in.
