You can't say I didn't warn you. Guinn now says the 1 billion dollar tax increase is not enough. If only Guinn would take a class in economy 101. When you raise taxes and use a chart on current growth for your projections, you are using faulty numbers. Growth and taxes goes hand in hand. Raising taxes slows growth, lowering taxes increases growth. Business is not going to move to this State when there are more tax friendly states out there.

The following article has misquoted me. I have sent the following e-mail to correct the error.

You have made the following inaccurate quote:
Tony Dane, chairman of the group seeking the recall, said he has been trying, unsuccessfully, to plan a rally in Reno for the past three weeks. Most of the group’s efforts so far have been in Las Vegas, he said.
I never said we have been unsuccessful in gathering signatures in Reno. Thousands of signatures have been collected from that area. What I have said is that I’m having trouble scheduling a rally in Reno, because of my personal schedule in getting the time to go to Reno.

I am requesting that you please print a retraction, because the statement printed has no basis on anything that I have said.

While I was on an outdoor broadcast of KXNT Radio show with Alan Stock and Heidi Harris, the local dirctor of the ACLU drove by. He stated the ACLU takes no position on the recall, however Gary Peck told me that if we have any problems gaining access to state property he would be happy to jump in.

It has been claimed by the Nevada registrar of voters that a recall of Gov. Kenny Guinn would cost approximately $1 million. All of a sudden NV counties are talking about cutting budgets and
spending in order to have a recall election. Is this the only thing
that gets their attention about budgets and spending?

It would appear that, to them, the whole thing is about money instead
of right or wrong. It also appears that this is government, taking
care of its own, especially when it claims to be unaccountable to
anyone for anything.

Are we damned if we do a recall? I think we are most assuredly damned
if we don't.

Why has it been made so easy to create a wrong and so hard to make it
right?

The paper also failed to mention why we are recalling Governor Guinn. on this I quote myself :-) "Guinn has circumvented the constitution of the State of Nevada, he (Guinn) has taken an oath to uphold the constitution" If Guinn would have adhere to his oath of office, his tax plan would have failed.

As far as being a nice guy, so was Jimmy Carter, but was he a good president? I know a lot of nice people, but I wouldn't vote for them.

In this country we have crime and punishment. As a society we do not complain about the cost of prosecuting something as small as a traffic violator. If the fine is not paid, we will put a traffic violator in jail. When the governor of Nevada, violates his oath of office by subverting the constitution, raises taxes by almost 1 billion dollars, than worries about the cost of an election to remove him from office. This doesn't make sense. The people voted in to a constitutional amendment requiring a two-thirds vote of the legislature to raise taxes. Any Elected official who does not believe the vote of the people matters, should step aside.
